Personal Profile
Mr Wadley qualified from Sheffield University Medical School in 1990. He trained in surgery in London, Nottingham, and the West Midlands. He was appointed as Consultant Surgeon at Worcestershire Royal Hospital in 2002 and since 2006 has also worked in the Specialist Upper GI unit at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
His main interests lie within the field of upper GI surgery, particularly the management of upper GI cancer, gastroesophageal relux, gallstones and obesity. A large proportion of his surgical practice is based on laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery. This includes keyhole techniques for gallstones, hernias and antireflux surgery. More recently he has developed keyhole surgery for the treatment of oesophageal and gastric cancers.
