I was born and educated in Winchester and was delighted to return to serve the population of my home city in 2003, following my appointment as a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
I undertook my medical training at the Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in London, graduating with Honours in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, in 1991. I spent the bulk of my Senior House Officer training years in London, before securing a Specialist Registrar training rotation in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in the Wessex region, rotating between the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, the North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke and Southampton’s Princess Anne Maternity Unit.
I am married and have 2 daughters; Emma aged 14 years and Charlotte aged 11 years. I am a keen squash player, runner and cyclist. I enjoy watching most sports, particularly rugby and football, being a loyal and forever-optimistic West Ham United supporter. I am also a dedicated fan of contemporary and progressive rock music.
