Dr Masood Khan is a very experienced Consultant Cardiologist at West Hertfordshire Hospital and Imperial College Hospital NHS Trusts.
He qualified in Medicine at the University of Cambridge in 1991. He trained in Cardiology and was appointed a Consultant in 2005.
He has a special expertise in the treatment of angina, coronary angioplasty ('balloon' treatment), and stents. He has an interest in microvascular angina, for which he can undertake specialist investigations only available in a small number of units in the UK.
Unusually for an Interventional Cardiologist, Dr Khan also has training and extensive experience of non-interventional cardiac imaging. He is an expert Practitioner of cardiac CT scanning. His other interests include palpitations, dizziness, high blood pressure, and echocardiology.
Dr Khan sees private patients at Bishops Wood Hospital on alternate Tuesday evenings.
