Dr Matthew Griffin works as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in breast cancer, head and neck cancer and neuro-oncology (brain and spinal tumours). His main interests are with technical radiotherapy and is experienced in the use of image-guided IMRT in the full spectrum of head and neck, breast and brain tumours as well as chemotherapy and targeted therapies.
In his NHS role in Nottingham he is working on developing radiotherapy techniques for the highly-conformal treatment of cerebral metastases and actively participate in clinical trials pertinent to the disease sites he manages. Dr Griffin is also Specialty Governance Lead and Specialty Audit Lead and therefore has a lead role in ensuring that we provide high quality and safe care for our patients.
Outside of work my 3-year old son happily takes up most of my time but I also enjoy running, walking our two dogs, baking, playing my keyboard, music, cinema and quite often just being at home with my family.
