Personal profile

I am trained in Otolaryngology in General and management of nasal and sinus diseases and snoring in particular with renowned excellent outcomes.

Qualifying in 1983, my post graduate training was in Ibadan, Nigeria, Northern England and Dundee; followed exposure in the West-Midlands.I also understudied the late Prof. W. Draf in 1998.

From January 2000 - Oct 2004, I was Consultant Otolaryngologist in Darlington. From 2000 till November 2016 I worked at City (Formerly Dudley Road) and Sandwell Hospitals in Birmingham. My special interest is in Rhinology and snoring. I moved to Sheffield join and enhance an establish tem of ENT surgeons and co-lead in Functional Rhinology and sinus surgery in particular.

I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Ed. and previously a Council member of the Royal Society of Medicine (Rhinology and Laryngology Section) as well as the British Rhinology Society.

I have excellent (peer reviewed) sinus surgery outcomes over a seventeen year history as a consultant. I have lectured on the GP Update circuit in Birmingham including those run nationally by the BMA in Birmingham and Sheffield). I lecture on post-graduate sinus surgery courses.

Clinical Interests

Clinically I have special interest in snoring as well as management of functional rhinological problems.

I have a strong interest in audit and currently lead our departmental audit program which incorporates aspects of clinical governance and take an active role in teaching.
