Born and educated in Worcestershire, I then went to The Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine. After qualification I completed my basic surgical training at University College Hospital.
My specialist training was in the Wessex region. My fellowship was in the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre in Exeter, spending a year in the world renown Hip unit. I was appointed to the position of Orthopaedic consultant at The Great Western Hospital in Swindon in 2003.
