Personal profile

Dr Michael Hickman is a consultant cardiologist who works at The Royal Surrey County Hospital and St. George’s Hospital in London. Dr Hickman bases his private practice at Mount Alvernia Hospital in Guildford. He was appointed at The Royal Surrey County Hospital in January 2009 to develop their complex cardiac imaging and pacemaker services.

Dr Hickman originally trained at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital and thereafter at a variety of hospitals in London eventually spending the last three years, prior to commencing his consultancy position, at St. George’s Hospital. During his postgraduate training he also spent over two years in clinical cardiology research and has presented his findings at both national and international meetings, his scientific papers have been published in a variety of leading peer reviewed cardiology journals.
