Dr Michael Naughton is a Consultant Rheumatologist at Ealing Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College, London. He is also Honorary Consultant Rheumatologist at the Hammersmith Hospital. Dr Naughton was appointed in 1998 and is a highly experienced consultant.
In his NHS practice he is a senior consultant in a busy rheumatology department, managing patients with a wide spectrum of musculoskeletal disorders. He is a trainer of specialist postgraduate doctors of all levels and teaches undergraduate medical students from Imperial College.
Dr Naughton has over 20 years of specialist experience. He trained at St Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin and completed his specialist training at the Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospitals in London. His research interest was the role of complement proteins in inflammation This was the subject of publications and his PhD thesis. Dr Naughton has presented his research at national and international scientific meetings.
Dr Naughton is committed to providing the highest standards of patient care and communication. He is experienced in the assessment and management of patients with musculoskeletal disorders (problems with joints, muscles and soft-tissue rheumatic complaints).
These include conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, gout, osteoarthritis, back pain and osteoporosis.
