Dr Mike Irani

Qualified from Kings College Hospital Medical School, registrar in Oxford. Research Fellow at Kings College Hospital. Senior Registrar at Westminster and Charing Cross Hospitals. Consultant since 1986.

Doctor at eight Olympic and Commonwealth Games. Examiner for Royal Colleges (Physicians & Surgeons) and Diploma in Sport & Exercise Medicine. Dr Irani is a Senior Consultant Rheumatologist with 30 years experience. He has attended seven Olympic and Commonwealth games and selected at IOC Medial liaison for the Rio Olympics.

He is an examiner and question setter for the Royal College of physicians, Royal College of Surgeons and Faculty of Sports and exercise Medicine. He is a medical member of the Judicial Appeals Tribunal and a Medical Member of the Sports Resolution Appeals Tribunal. Dr Irani is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Imperial College School of Medicine and a recognised teacher in Medicine at the University of London.

He is also an Executive Board Member for the International Weightlifting Federation.
