Dr Seif recieved his PhD in Biology of the Endometrium from the University of Manchester in 1989 and is a lead gynaecologist for the Reproductive Endocrinology Clinic. He is also a lead consultant for the Multidisciplinary Menopause Service, which was founded to deliver a team approach to managing menopausal health, particularly in women with serious co-morbidity.
Dr Seif is the Manchester lead for the UK Collaberative Trial of Ovarian Cancer Screening (UKCTOCS), which is the largest study of this topic in history. He was a member of Councils of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (2000-06) and Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health Care (2005 - 2009) and is is also a member of various professional societies.
Dr Seif is a member of the Editorial Board of the Cochrane Menstrual Disorders and Subfertility Group, which provides foundation for evidence based practice regarding this specialty.
