Mr Sandiford is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon based at St Georges University Hospital in central London and the South West Elective Orthopaedic Centre in Epsom. He specialises in hip and knee replacements and treating painful or failing joint replacements.
He qualified at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados in 2000. His basic training in Orthopaedics and Hip and Knee reconstruction started in London on the South East Thames rotation and the London Hip Unit under the mentorship of Miss Sarah Muirhead-Allwood. He undertook specialist training in hip and knee surgery subsequently in world renowned institutions in Vancouver (under the mentorship of Professors Duncan, Garbuz, Masri and Greidanus), Exeter, Nijmegen and London. He was awarded a Current Concepts in Joint Replacement Fellowship in 2014 and a British Hip Society Travelling Fellowship in 2016 as well as the prestigious American British Canadian (ABC) Travelling Fellowship in October 2017.
