Personal Profile

He qualified in London in 1986 and trained in Orthopaedics on the Charing Cross Hospital Registrar rotation and the St Georges Hospital Senior Registrar rotation. He spent a fellowship year at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto (level 1 trauma centre) specialising in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction and Trauma Surgery.

His practice is now predominantly focused on surgery of the knee covering arthritic and sports/trauma conditions. A current research interest is innovative surgery for articular cartilage problems and is part of a multicentre trial in Europe and the USA.

Specific areas of interest include multiple ligament reconstruction, articular cartilage surgery, meniscal ('cartilage') repair and transplantation and knee replacement surgery including unicompartmental, patellofemoral and tibiofemoral replacements.

He has been in private practice at The Princess Margaret hospital for seven years and also consults at the ‘Sports Orthopaedic Spinal’ clinic in Weybridge.
