Personal profile

Nicky Saini has worked in the field of nutrition since 1994. After completing a Master's degree in Human Nutrition at King's College London, she completed a PhD in Nutrition of the Elderly at Liverpool John Moores University. After 6 years of working on nutrition research Dr Saini completed a PG Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics from London Metropolitan University in 2008. She is passionate about Gastroenterology, Diabetes and Obesity as these specialisms have given her invaluable insight into conditions where effectiveness of therapy depends on the knowledge and experience of the clinician and rapport that he or she can establish with the patient. To maximise her skills in these specialisms Dr Saini has worked with various teams and patients with complex needs and have undertaken courses such as use of low FODMAPs diet for IBS and other gut conditions, use of dietary manipulation for obesity and carbohydrate counting for diabetes.
