Having qualified at St Thomas’s Hospital in London, I had a number of basic surgical training posts in and around London, including the Hammersmith and The Royal Marsden Hospital’s and also in Sheffield.
My Urology research was in Sheffield, gaining a MD in Neuromodulation of the bladder – a treatment for incontinence. My specialist urology training was in the Yorkshire region but included a fellowship in Pelvic Cancer Surgery at the Christie in Manchester.
I continue to develop urology cancer surgery both locally and regionally. I am Vice Chairman of the Urology section of the Yorkshire Cancer Network.
