Personal Profile

Mr Umez-Eronini qualified from the University of Southampton 1996 and went on to carry out basic science research in tissue engineering, for which a doctorate in medicine (MD) was awarded from Newcastle University in 2005. He has been a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and on the specialist register for Urology since 2009.

Mr Umez-Eronini trained in the North East at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle, prior to taking up post in North Cumbria as a Consultant Urological Surgeon and clinical lead. He was appointed as the chair for Urological cancer in the Northern cancer network, prior to leaving England to take up an appointment in Glasgow as a urologist working at the Royal Infirmary, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and Gartnavel General Hospital.
