Personal Profile

Mr Shah qualified in 2004 from The University of Manchester, he is currently a Consultant Trauma Orthopaedic at Salford Royal NHS foundation Trust.

He has completed the prestigious Charnley Fellowship from Wrightington Hospital, with a further fellowship in revision arthroplasty and pelvic surgery. Mr Shah sub-specialises in Lower limb arthroplasty, revision, trauma and infected arthroplasty.

He is a member of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Medical Dental Defence Union of Scotland and The British Orthopaedic Association.

Mr Shah has published and presented both nationally and internationally at orthopaedic meetings and is a mentor to medical students and junior doctors.

Mr Shah performs the following:

Arthroplasty: Total hip replacement (cemented/ hybrid/ uncemented), Total knee replacement, Unicompartmental knee replacement, Patellofemoral replacement, Custom and patient specific implants, Robotic surgery, Revision hip and knee procedures, Periprosthetic infection and fracture procedures.

Arthroscopy: Knee arthroscopy procedures including meniscal repair

Biological treatments: Femoral head Avascular necrosis procedures, Bone grafting procedures (for bone loss or augmentation)

Sports injuries: Upper and Lower limb injection therapies (steroid/ PRP/ Ostenil), Injection therapies using biologics
