I am a fellowship trained, dedicated consultant orthopaedic spinal surgeon, currently based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. I maintain an active interest in research, with numerous publications and awards. I am a regular faculty member on several orthopaedic/ spinal courses, as I enjoy teaching.
Throughout my career, I have taken a keen interest in changing practice for the better including developing and leading several award wining projects in fracture and spinal care. In addition, I work closely with university and industry to develop new orthopaedic and spinal implants.
I trained as a registrar in the West of Scotland before embarking on a pre-CCT spinal fellowship in Galway, Ireland. I completed my post-CCT advanced spinal fellowship as the ‘National Spinal Fellow’ in Leeds, England. My Practice includes general cervical, thoracic, and lumbar surgery, as well as complex degenerative, adult deformity, tumour and trauma spinal surgery.
