Miss Pampa Sarkar, MD (Lond), FRCOG is Consultant at Wexham Park Hospital, East Berkshire since 2003. After qualifying in 1986 she underwent postgraduate training in India. She completed a two years postgraduate degree in India in 1990 and came to the UK in 1992 and passed her Membership exams for MRCOG in 1993.

She went through the RCOG structured programme in place at the time and obtained the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in 1997. She then worked as a Clinical Research Fellow at the Centre for Fetal Care at Queen Charlotte Hospital, London gaining expertise in fetal medicine and related procedures.

She did a further postgraduate degree, MD from the University of London, the research phase completed in 2004 and thesis submitted in 2007. Her special interests are in fetal medicine and high risk obstetrics. She obtained FRCOG in 2006.

She has extensive research interests and has published in the field of effects of maternal stress on fetal development. She was awarded the Lloyds TSB Award for Health and Education in 2007.

She offers full obstetric care and also supplemental scans to her patients. Miss Sarkar can be contacted through her private secretary or through any of her associated hospitals and clinics.
