Personal profile
He started his surgical training at Leicester Medical School where he qualified in 1999. He then went to the Yorkshire School of Surgery for his core training and Greater Manchester for his higher surgical training.
Once he obtained his CCT, he did a fellowship at the prestigious Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham.
Having undergone a travelling fellowship in America, he attended the John Hopkins University Hospital. This allowed him to be trained in many different techniques for spinal surgery. He then started as a Consultant with the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham for approximately three years before returning back to Manchester.
Mr Sian is regularly involved in teaching the junior doctors and spinal fellows and is a participating member of the British Spinal Registry. He regularly conducts audits of his practice to improve patient services.
