Personal Profile
Dr Lyons is a Specialist in Neurological diseases. He qualified in Medicine in 1980 from Nottingham University and after training in Newcastle and The National Neurology Hospital, Queen Square, London he was appointed Consultant Neurologist in Bath in 1992. In addition to basic medical qualifications he has an Honours Degree in Medical Science, a Doctorate in Medicine and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. With almost 20 years of Consultant experience he has developed a number of specialist interests as outlined above.
Dr Lyons is a highly experienced professional committed to rapidly providing an accurate neurological diagnosis supported by a comprehensive investigative and management plan with the minimum of inconvenience for the patient. He maintains his up to date knowledge base by attending relevant regional and international neurology meetings.
Dr Lyons has published several articles including publications in “Brain” and “The Journal of Physiology”.
He is married with two young daughters and has an active interest in Golf, Bath Rugby and playing Jazz guitar.
