Piers Clifford graduated from Oxford University in 1984 with a first class degree before completing his medical training at St Mary’s Medical School, London in 1987.
His cardiological training was predominantly at the Hammersmith Hospital, where he still works as an Interventional Cardiologist. He was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist to Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust in 1999.
He is now the Clinical Lead for Cardiology, the Chairman of the Division of Medicine, and has developed highly successful angioplasty and investigative units which are unrivalled by other district hospitals.
He has developed vast experience, skill and expertise in all areas of adult cardiology with a particular interest in coronary intervention, the modern treatment of hypertension, atrial fibrillation and the inherited cardiomyopathies.
Also in 1999, Dr. Clifford began his private practice at the Chiltern Hospital to further meet the needs of Buckinghamshire residents and to allow him to offer the very highest standard of personalised patient care.
He now also offers consultations at the Shelburne Hospital in High Wycombe, HCA Chiswick, and HJE in St Johns Wood, London.
