He is available within 24 hours for consultation, and has been working as an old age specialist for over 10 years, undergoing specialist training in General and Geriatric Medicine in the West Midlands. He offers a range of services and specialises in the management of multiple co-morbidities resulting in poor quality of life.
He is a Lead Clinician in the NHS working from Barnsley, and is responsible for managing a 'Rapid Access Clinic' where he provides management advice to GPs regarding elderly and frail patients. Dr Jha also runs a ‘Fracture Risk Assessment & Osteoporosis Service’ providing bone density scanning (DXA) and specialist treatment for osteoporosis using injections. He is a specialist for assessing falls, managing dizziness, confirming TIA and treating Parkinson’s disease, as well as organising rehabilitation for poor mobility.
Dr Jha believes in providing the highest standards of clinical care and his service is patient-centred with consultation times offered outside of normal working hours, making it accessible and convenient for patients and relatives. He also visits patient at home for clinical assessment (home visit). This approach leads to very high levels of patient satisfaction.
