Dr Premila Ashok undertook the majority of her postgraduate and specialty training in Aberdeen and the West Midlands. She was appointed as Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in 2003 and is currently a lead in emergency Gynaecology.
Dr Ashok offers a Gynaecology service both in the NHS and privately. This includes a one stop Gynaecology clinic at BMI Albyn Hospital where pelvic ultrasound scans are undertaken in clinic at the time of initial consultation.
Her general Gynaecological practice involves treating women with menstrual disturbance, pelvic pain, fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, prolapse, vaginal surgery, postmenopausal bleeding and menopausal problems.
As an accredited sub-specialist in reproductive medicine and surgery, Dr Ashok also offers fertility treatment at BMI Albyn Hospital. This includes investigations and ovulation induction. Couples requiring assisted reproduction can be referred on a self-funded basis for further treatment.
