Ms Khan, MD, MRCOG, has wide experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She has had extensive training in UK and USA. She initially completed five years training in UK when she attained MRCOG. After completing MRCOG she was appointed as a clinical fellow in Maternal Fetal Medicine in University of Connecticut Health Centre, USA.
She completed two years of Fellowship training in UCONN health centre which included fetal anomaly scan and high risk pregnancies. Her research project was histological changes in placenta of aneuploid fetus. She presented this in Society of Perinatal Obstetricians’ annual conference in Atlanta as a Poster – this paper was later published as an original article. She has also presented in other international meetings.
Ms Khan returned to UK and successfully completed CCT in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2008.
She joined Worthing Hospital in June 2010. She is the lead in Maternal Medicine and Diabetic Pregnancy in Worthing Hospital. Ms Khan has special interest is preconception consultation and Postnatal debrief of complicated pregnancy or unfavourable pregnancy outcome. Her consultation consists of very appropriate and detail advice.
Ms Khan has also special interest in abdominal and vaginal surgery including intermediate laparoscopic surgery. She has performed many complicated abdominal hysterectomies and non descent vaginal hysterectomies.
