Personal profile

Dr Ralph Gregory is an NHS general neurology consultant at Poole Hospital and Dorset County Hospital. He was the Lead Consultant for the Dorset Neurology Service until his appointment as Clinical Director for Specialty Medicine at Poole Hospital in 2014.

Prior to moving to Dorset in 2009 he was neurologist to the functional neurosurgery programme at the John Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust in Oxford. Dr Gregory qualified from Southampton Medical School in 1982. He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1986 and a Fellow in 1997. His medical training was followed by neurology posts at the Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford and National Hospital for Neurology, Queen Square. He was appointed to the GMC Specialist Register for Neurology in 1992.

Dr Gregory was elected Honorary Secretary of the Association of British Neurologists in 2010 and appointed Chair of the Services Committee in 2014. He was the Royal College of Physicians Specialty Advisor for Neurology until he demitted in May 2017.
