I obtained my primary postgraduate qualification in orthopaedics and traumatology from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India. After post graduation I worked as a lecturer in orthopaedics and traumatology in the Christian Medical college Hospital, Vellore, South India.
In the UK, I did my orthopaedic training in the Wessex training circuit, completing my registrar rotation in Southampton University Hospitals. I did a fellowship in paediatric orthopaedics and limb reconstruction at Sheffield Children’s Hospital before taking up the position of consultant orthopaedic surgeon in Northampton General Hospital & BMI Three Shires Hospital, Northampton in 2001.
My main interests are Foot and Ankle surgery and Children’s orthopaedics. I have a particular interest in treatment of ankle arthritis, Achilles tendon problems, adult and children’s flat foot, bunion surgery and toe problems. I also treat children with clubfoot, dislocated hips, lower limb deformities and sports injuries. I use circular frames (Ilizarov and Taylor spatial frames) to correct complex deformities in the lower limb. I have published several articles in scientific journals on various topics in orthopaedic surgery.
