Dr Richard Henderson has been a Consultant Radiologist since 1988 – initially at Friarage Hospital Northallerton, and since 1995 at Darlington Memorial Hospital. He has worked at BMI Woodlands Hospital since it first opened in 2001.
Richard has a first class honours BSc degree and gained his medical degree at Guy’s Hospital Medical School in 1978. He has since been awarded MRCP(UK), FRCR and FRCP.
In 1982 he was appointed Research Fellow at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School, London and later that year began radiology training at Hammersmith Hospital. He completed his radiology training at Westminster, Royal Marsden and Brompton Hospitals in London.
In addition to his post at Darlington Memorial Hospital, Richard also works at the Breast Screening Unit at the University Hospital of North Tees in Stockton.
His specialist interests include breast radiology, chest and general radiology.
