Mr. Jeavons is a fellowship trained Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in Shoulder and Elbow surgery. He undertakes his NHS practice at North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Trust. He attended Leeds University where he attained degrees in Medical Sciences and Medicine. He undertook Basic Surgical Training within the Yorkshire School of Surgery, followed by Higher Surgical Training in Orthopaedics and Trauma within the Northern Deanery.
He successfully completed 2 fellowships at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, a Level 1 Trauma centre. The first a British Orthopaedic Association approved Trauma fellowship and then a Royal College of Surgeons of England approved Shoulder & Elbow Fellowship. He gained vast experience managing complex orthopaedic trauma, shoulder & elbow surgery including arthroscopic and arthroplasty techniques, under the guidance of Professor A. Rangan, Mr. J. McVie & Mr. R. Liow.
His current practice reflects his training offering shoulder and elbow joint replacements for arthritis; arthroscopic and open surgery for impingement, instability, rotator cuff tears, nerve decompression, surgery for acromioclavicuar joint dysfunction; management of general and upper limb specific trauma.
He is continually involved in teaching and training of orthopaedic surgeons and allied healthcare professionals. He is involved in research, publishing work in peer reviewed journals, presenting work at national & international meetings.
