Mr Robert Almeyda

Practices at: Circle Reading Hospital
His specialist ENT training was within the Oxford Deanery and culminated in rhinology fellowships in The Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, London and The Academic Medical Centre, Amsterdam. These were under the guidance of Professor Lund and Professor Fokkens respectively. During this time Mr Almeyda trained in advanced endoscopic sinus surgery techniques, as well as revision rhinoplasty and reconstruction of the nose and ear following cancer resection.
He was appointed as Consultant ENT Surgeon with an interest in Rhinology to Oxford University Hospitals Foundation Trust in 2012.
In April 2016 he was appointed as consultant ENT surgeon to the Royal Berkshire Hospital, heading up and expanding the specialist rhinology service for West Berkshire.

Mr Almeyda has been involved with numerous research projects in Oxford. These have included the role of IL-5 and Calcium channels in nasal polyposis and research into the early detection of Parkinson’s Disease through olfactory biopsy markers.
