Personal profile

Graduating from Birmingham School of Podiatry in 1993, Mr Robert Hill went onto study sports biomechanics and rehabilitation in Toronto Canada, and while there completed a surgical rotation in forefoot surgery at MA General Boston.

Whist working in North America, he became affiliated with high profile teams such as the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team and the Toronto Raptors basketball team. He returned to the UK in 1999 where he started and continued to work at BMI Droitwich Spa Hospital, developing their Podiatry and Rehabilitation Department.

The majority of his work is biomechanical based with the ability to design and manufacture prescription orthotics and braces. Mr Hill also works with soft tissue and joint manipulation to aid rehabilitation and increase mobility and performance.

He lectures around the United Kingdom, Ireland and USA in biomechanics and orthotic manufacture and manipulation techniques. He also holds an interest in paediatric foot and ankle-correcting and monitoring children’s feet to ensure the best possible development and alignment as they mature.

Mr Hill still works very closely with sporting organisations where time allows, he is the Consulting Podiatrist to the Armagh Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and the International Irish Dancing Organisation, with monthly contributions into various sports publications.
