Ms Rahman has been practising as an NHS consultant in Ophthalmology at Calderdale & Huddersfield Trust since 2002. She has completed a fellowship in surgical management of diseases of the Vitreous & Retina (Vitreo-retinal surgery).

At BMI Huddersfield, Ms Rahman provides general ophthalmic services, but has a special interest in surgical treatment of retinal diseases (Retinal detachment, Macular hole, Epiretinal membrane, Floaters) and has pioneered non-posturing macular hole surgery. She has a particular interest in cataract surgery with multifocal lenses as well as refractive lens exchange for vision correction.
