Mrs Ruchira Singh is a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with her NHS practice based at Birmingham Women`s Hospital in Edgbaston, where she is the Clinical Director of Gynaecology. She has published several articles in peer reviewed journals.
Mrs Singh is a reviewer for European Journal of Obstetrics and gynaecology. She is Senior clinical examiner and Honorary lecturer for university of Birmingham and also examines and teaches on courses for MRCOG exams.
Her main interests are in Fertility, Recurrent miscarriage, general gynaecology including menstrual disorders, pelvic pain and endometriosis. She is skilled at laparoscopic (keyhole) thus allowing patients to go home within a day of surgery. She has a special interest in sexual and reproductive health
