Dr Sandy Flann MBBS, BSc (Hons), MSc (Allergy), MRCP (UK)(Derm) is a Consultant Dermatologist in Kent based at the Peter Samman Dermatology Department, Orpington Hospital (part of Kings College Hospital NHS trust), Sevenoaks Medical Centre (London Bridge Hospitals) and BMI Chelsfield Park. She sees adult and paediatric patients with general dermatological problems, such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, vulval dermatoses & skin cancers and holds a regular dermatology surgery theatre list.
She has a specialist interest in paediatric dermatology and allergy and is the Lead Clinician for paediatric dermatology for the department at Orpington Hospital. She is also the teaching lead and organizes the teaching of trainee GPs and medical students in the department.
Dr Flann graduated from King’s College School of Medicine, London in 2000 and gained a broad experience of general medicine at Bromley Hospital, King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, London where she obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians.
Dr Flann started her Dermatology training at the world renowned St John’s Institute of Dermatology, London and then built upon this by gaining experience in the dermatology departments of King’s College Hospital, St George’s Hospital and Orpington Hospital where she obtained the Royal College of Physicians Speciality Certificate in Dermatology.
She has presented at a variety of national and international meetings including the British Association of Dermatology, the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the American Academy of Dermatology and the World Congress in Paediatric Dermatology. Dr Flann has recently completed a postgraduate MSc in Allergy at Imperial College so that she can bring the most up-to-date innovations and knowledge in this rapidly developing area to her patients.
