Mr Santdeep Paun is Consultant Surgeon and Head of Department of Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery at St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospitals, recognised as leading teaching hospitals in the UK. His main interest is in Nasal and Facial Plastic Surgery. He specialises in dealing with all aspects of nose problems including breathing difficulty, sinus problems, deformities of the nose including for cosmetic purposes and associated snoring and sleep apnoea problems. He also perfoms all other facial cosmetic procedures. Within his NHS practice, he works as part of a team of surgeons looking after patients following severe trauma to the face and specialises in fixing noses and facial problems.
He has a strong interest in teaching and has lectured nationally and internationally on various aspects of his work in this field of expertise. He runs a course teaching other doctors about surgical techniques in facial plastic surgery.
He also Chairs a committee developing robust certification for surgeons in this specialty. In the past few years, he has written extensively on the subject including co-authoring nine separate book chapters. He was the first UK based surgeon certified by the new globally recognised International Board of Facial Plastic Surgical Societies.
