Mr Ramar graduated in prestigious Chennai Medical College and completed a Masters in Surgery in 1999. He then went on to obtain a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery in 1999 in New Delhi. Subsequently Mr Ramar came to England and proceeded to train in advanced General Surgery and Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery.
Since 2015 he has been working in King's College hospital as a consultant surgeon with interest in metabolic and bariatric surgery, upper gastro intestinal surgery, gallbladder and hernia surgery and honorary senior clinical lecturer at King's College London.
Mr Ramar performs a high number of metabolic and bariatric procedures and his outcome data is in the national bariatric registry (NBSR). Mr Ramar is also part of the emergency and trauma team at King's college hospital and is very experienced in abdominal emergencies.
