Mr Satchi Swami

Personal profile

Mr Swami completed his Urological training at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India and his further training in the Southwest of England and at the Institute of Urology, London.

He has been a substantive full time Consultant Urological Surgeon in NHS Grampian and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at University of Aberdeen since 1997.

Mr Swami’s clinical practice includes general urology, complex renal and abdominal surgery, urodynamics and urinary incontinence surgery in men and women.

He is closely involved in postgraduate teaching and training, clinical research and examinership for the Royal College of Surgeons and the Intercollegiate Training Board of Urology. He has held senior leadership and management roles in the Northern Deanery, North of Scotland Cancer Network (NOSCAN) and the NHS management structure until July 2018 and served two terms of office as the member of the Executive Committee of Urological Oncology for the British Association of Urological Surgeons.
