Personal Profile

I am a Consultant orthopaedic surgeon with special interest in Foot & Ankle, hip and knee. I rely heavily on evidence based surgical and non-surgical management of a wide variety of lower limb disorders. I take great interest in delivering a safe and world class clinical expertise in Foot & Ankle and Lower limb disorders.

I am fortunate to have dual training in Orthopaedics with Board certification (DNB) from India and further training in England leading to FRCS. I spent most of time in general orthopaedic training in North London with further training in Hip and knee. In addition to the surgical qualifications, I have a Mch degree from University of Dundee, Scotland. This involved research methodologies in Orthopaedics. My Research experience has been further re-enforced whilst involving in 2 major national Trials in trauma (WHIST) and Foot & Ankle (STAR) at Leeds General Infirmary under Professor Giannoudis guidance. I have presented at regional and international conferences along with a fair bit of publications in international Journals.

My Foot & Ankle training has been with Mr Henry Atkinson, London & Post CCT fellowship at Stepping hill, Stockport under the guidance of Mr Rakesh Dalal. These fellowships involved advanced training in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, as well as sports medicine.

I have also trained as a Paediatric Orthopaedic surgeon with Fellowship from Leeds general infirmary under the guidance of Mr C Holton and Mr M Sabouni.

I have been appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with special interest in lower limb including Foot & ankle at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust, London in 2019.

My priority is prompt diagnosis and management of all foot & ankle, hip and knee conditions. I strive to achieve the same by working closely in a multi-disciplinary team and engaging with physiotherapists, rheumatologists and GPs. Patient satisfaction is my topmost priority and I spend ample time in both listening and explaining the condition and treatment modalities in simple layman terms.

I submit my Arthroplasty outcomes to the national joint register and actively collect feedback and outcomes for my patients.

I am a keen trainer for junior doctors and orthopaedic trainees. I am also an Associate member of General medical council (GMC) and partake in PLAB examinations and also MBBS examinations for UCL medical school. I also train young surgeons in courses at the Royal College of surgeons of Edinburgh.

I enjoy travelling and am fond of exploring history of ancient civilisations, cultures and monuments. I enjoy watching cricket and love playing football and badminton with my two lovely children.
