Ms Shadaba Ahmed

Personal profile

Ms Shadaba Ahmed has been a Consultant for almost 18 years and has been the ENT Lead for the Morecambe Bay Trust for the last 7 years.  She is also Lead for the Head and Neck cancer fragility services. 

She has been the ‘Better Care Together’ Lead for ENT.  She is the editor for the Morecambe Bay Journal and sits on the local negotiating committee as BMA member.  She is also a full member of AoME.  She has completed the PG Cert from Edge Hill with credits and she remains educational supervisor to the junior doctors.  She is also a member of the North West surgical training committee in ENT.

She is heavily involved with undergraduate teaching and training in ENT.  Ms Ahmed is also the DOHNS examiner as well as the Royal College assessor and examiner for the MRCS.  She participates in the GMC OSCE writing day and single best answer writing events.  She is honorary lecturer at Lancaster University and honorary teacher at Liverpool University.

Ms Ahmed has also completed the NHS Academy Ready Now programme and is editor of the Morecambe Bay Journal as well as guest editor for Current Advances in Otorhinolaryngology Disease and Therapy and International Member of Editorial Board of JDUHS.

Personal interests include sport and music.
