Mr Shaheel Chummun is a skilled plastic surgeon specialising in rhinoplasty or nose job, and other plastic surgery procedures. With over a decade of experience in the field, Mr Chummun is a trusted and experienced practitioner based in Bath, Bristol, Gloucester, and Newport.
To fine-tune his expertise in aesthetic surgery, Mr Chummun undertook two aesthetic fellowships at the famous London Clinic and The Cadogan Clinic, Chelsea, as the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (BAAPS)/ ScarFree Foundation Aesthetic fellow.
After graduating from medical school in 2001, Mr Chummun embarked upon his surgical training, eventually becoming a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) of England and Edinburgh in 2006. He then went on to complete his specialist training in Plastic Surgery both in the UK and abroad, with extensive experience in Edinburgh, Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Leeds, Adelaide (Australia), and London.
In 2014, Mr Chummun was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery, FRCS(Plast), and entered the GMC Specialist Register for plastic surgery in 2016. He has since gained further super specialist training in Craniofacial Surgery at the world-renowned Australian Craniofacial Unit in Adelaide, Australia, and in Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery at Guys’ and St Thomas’ Hospital, London.
In addition to his extensive training and experience, Mr Chummun has published over 40 scientific articles within the Plastic Surgery literature throughout his career and regularly presents at national and international plastic surgery conferences. He is also actively involved in teaching both at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Mr Chummun is currently appointed as a Cleft and Plastic Surgery consultant at the South- West Cleft Services, University Hospitals Bristol NHS Trust, where he is a core member of the cleft multidisciplinary team and manages patients with cleft lip and palate from the whole of the South-West of England. He is the only plastic surgeon in the South-West of England who undertakes complex cleft rhinoplasties in his NHS practice.
