Appointed Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Wexham Park Hospital in 2002. Her special interests include high risk obstetrics, foetal medicine, outpatient gynaecology, ultrasound scanning; early to late pregnancy and Down’s Syndrome screening.
Her training in high risk obstetrics and foetal medicine commenced at Queen Charlotte's Hospital London/Royal Postgraduate Medical School where she completed the Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She completed her training in the Oxford Deanery including the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
As a Consultant for the last 15 years, she has continued to develop her sub-specialty interest in foetal medicine at King's College Hospital, London in the internationally renowned Harris Birthright Centre chaired by Professor K Nicolaides. She has developed research collaborations between Wexham Park Hospital and King's College Hospital, including participation in multi centre trials in pre-term labour.
In her clinics she provides Consultation with early pregnancy scans, Reassurance scans, Growth scans, and invasive procedures for prenatal tests. Other interests include Recurrent miscarriages and its management.
Dr Kalla advises on NIPT tests which include the HARMONY tests and the IONA tests. She also provides consultation in Outpatient Gynaecology and procedures.
