Mr Ali was trained as a specialist at the University Hospitals of Belfast, Swansea, and Middlesbrough and as a clinical fellow in Head and Neck surgery at the Free University Hospital, Amsterdam. He is the most senior and experienced Consultant ENT surgeon in the area. Having completed several senior managerial, clinical, and academic positions in the NHS for over 31 years, he has acquired a large amount of experience, and practices ‘sensible’ medicine rather than strictly & scientific medicine.

After thorough investigations, he prides himself in explaining and reassuring the patient’s worries about their symptoms, which may include fear of contracting any serious illness. Mr Ali has in the past focused on major Head and Neck cancer and ear surgery for over 20 years. However, now he concentrates and specialises in children’s ENT and adult Rhinology (nose) problems and no longer practices Head and Neck Surgery.
