Mr Simon James Thomas

Personal profile

After completing my orthopaedic training in Tayside, I took a post as Senior Fellow in Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery in Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, under Graeme Tytherleigh-Strong. I was then appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with interest in Upper Limb in Perth Royal Infirmary and Ninewells Hospitals in 2011.

I am currently clinical lead for Shoulder and elbow surgery, and Chair of the Hand Surgery Committee within NHS Tayside. Apart from my elective interests, I also specialise in complex upper limb trauma.

I also have an interest in medico-legal work.
