Personal profile

Mr Simon Barker completed his undergraduate training in London in 1994 and undertook his postgraduate training in the North of Scotland. He has provided consultant paediatric and adult orthopaedic services for NHS Grampian since 2006. His MD was written on the genetics and epidemiology of congenital talipes equinovarus, this is reflected in his ongoing active research interest in clubfoot deformity.

His main areas of practice include paediatric orthopaedic pathology, with specific interests in cerebral palsy, clubfeet, spina bifida and paediatric trauma. His adult practice is focused on the knee.

Please note, Mr Barker will only see patients aged 3-15 years old.
