Dr. Sivakumar Muthu is a Consultant Nuclear Medicine Physician based at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
He has wide experience in general nuclear medicine studies, nuclear cardiology, oncology PET, non-oncology PET and radioactive iodine therapy.
He is an active member of the Speciality Advisory Committee and Speciality Training Committee in Nuclear Medicine. He is the lead for e-portfolio management and less than full time training in nuclear medicine nationally. He is also the nuclear medicine training lead locally and supervisor for medical students from Manchester University. He is involved in research activities at Manchester University PET MR Centre.
Dr. Sivakumar Muthu completed his primary medical training (MBBS) and postgraduate medical training (MD General Medicine) in India. He trained in Nuclear Medicine at Manchester Royal Infirmary before joining as a Consultant Nuclear Medicine Physician at Hull Royal Infirmary and Raigmore Hospital Highland NHS Board, Inverness. Since 2013, he has been a Consultant Nuclear Medicine Physician at Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
