Dr Kansra is a Consultant Paediatrician specialising in disorders of airways and breathing. He has a special interest in asthma, respiratory allergies, aero-digestive disorders and cystic fibrosis.
He sees children and young people with a wide range of respiratory problems and leads the difficult to treat asthma service at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Dr Kansra went to medical school in Delhi, India and then did a broad based paediatric residency before pursuing further training in the UK. His paediatric training was in the West midlands and subspecialist training in Paediatric Respiratory medicine at Nottingham. He also took time out of the training programme to work as a fellow at Great Ormond Street Hospital in Paediatric lung transplantation and Respiratory Medicine.
