Miss Sophie Renton Is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Northwick Park Hospital and an Honorary Senior Lecturer for Imperial College.

She qualified in 1983 from the Middlesex Hospital, University of London. She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1988. Her higher surgical training took place in North West and South West Thames. During  this time, she undertook a period of research at St Mary’s Hospital and completed her MS higher degree.

She has been a Consultant in Vascular Surgery at Northwick Park Hospital since 1996. Her Vascular Surgery workload includes open and endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms, carotid endarterectomy and peripheral bypass surgery. She is part of the multidisciplinary team caring for patients for the foot complications in diabetes. She has extensive experience in the management of venous conditions including varicose veins, venous ulcers and the post phlebitic leg. She introduced endovenous surgery in to her trust. She regularly performs a wide range of techniques including VNUS, foam sclerotherapy and microsclerotherapy for thread veins.
