Dr Chaganti is a consultant haemato-oncologist with clinical expertise in lymphomas, leukaemias, myeloma and stem cell transplantation. His NHS practice is based at the University Hospital Birmingham (UHB) where he is the clinical lead for lymphoid diseases including lymphomas, ALL, and Teenage Young Adult patients with haematologic cancers.
His main research interests include lymphomas, especially Epstein Barr Virus-associated lymphomas and post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorders. Dr Chaganti has authored a number of scientific publications in peer reviewed journals including first author and senior author research articles in top rated haematology journals.
He is the principle investigator for several clinical trials, bringing novel and pioneering treatments within easy reach of my patients. Dr Chaganti is a member of the National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) high grade lymphoma and ALL working parties, contributing to design and development of new clinical trials. He is also actively involved in developing national clinical guidelines for the management of patients with lymphoma.
Dr Chaganti's academic commitments include an active role in education and training as the education lead for haematology trainees at the UHB. He is multi-linguistic, being fluent in English, Hindi and Telugu. Patient FirstÂ is his motto and he believes in empowering his patients with the information and knowledge they need to help them choose the treatment which is right for them.
