Steve Bromage is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Stepping Hill Hospital. He has clinics at Stepping Hill, Tameside and Leighton Hospital. Steve graduated from Newcastle University and has gained medical and surgical experience through working in Australia and New Zealand before settling in the North West of England. Steve has experience across all areas of general urology and has a sub-specialty interest in urological cancer, in particular renal disease.
He performed the first laparoscopic partial nephrectomy using a novel green dye to highlight the tumour borders in the UK together with colleague Neil Oakley. He also has an interest in male factor fertility, and has published many original scientific articles in this area. Steve has a keen interest in education and has been awarded a certificate of education from the University of Dundee. He is involved in teaching and lecturing of medical students as well as health professionals.
