Mr Stephen Bostock is a Hand and Wrist Surgeon and have been Consultant based at the Northern General Hospital since 1999.
He qualified in 1986 from Sheffield University. In addition to his medical degree he completed a BmedSci in orthopaedics.
Most of his postgraduate training was in South Manchester during which he developed an interest in hand and wrist surgery.
He completed his training with a twelve month fellowship in Sydney, Australia.
Since moving back to Sheffield he has been working exclusively as a Hand and Wrist Surgeon alongside his upper limb colleagues.
Mr Bostock is interested in all aspects of hand and wrist disorders and has developed a considerable expertise in wrist trauma. He has been a member of the AO faculty for hand and wrist.
He also contibuted to the Edinbugh Hand course and other instuctional courses. He has given numerous invited lectures, locally and nationally. In addition, he regularly attends the meetings at the British Society for Surgery of the Hand and he is a member of the European Federation of Hand Societies.
