Training: I trained at Manchester Medical School, then had posts at Wythenshawe Hospital Manchester, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and Birmingham Heartlands Hospital.
My first consultant post was at Solihull Hospital and then I moved to Worcestershire. On the NHS I am clinical lead for the respiratory team and have developed a number of services over the years.
Research: I have contributed to a number of research projects in both respiratory medicine and allergy and have over 20 publications in European and American peer reviewed journals.
Management: I have held a number of managerial posts at Worcester including Research and Development Lead, Associate Clinical Director for Medicine and, regionally, the chair of the 3 Counties Lung Cancer NSSG.
We live locally in Worcestershire and have a relatively young family. Our interests include ferrying the kids around Worcestershire, encouraging them from the touch lines and then taking them home. I did used to play squash and football to a reasonable standard, but not any more!
